A book made up of just over 50 poems that take you on a journey of a few aspects of a young woman's life. It looks into love, empowerment, pain and confrontation.
About the Author: Imani Livingston is a 22 year old women that is American born but British bred. She wrote her first poetry book at the age of 13 but only shared pieces with a select few as although it was her passion it was seen more to her as an outlet rather than a career path. During the beginning stages of her writing she became aware that she suffered from a mental illness and because of this she seemed to feel much deeper than those around her, resulting in the depths of her writing causing discomfort to many as it sometimes still does today. In July 2018, Imani will have finished her degree in media studies before heading into the world of art where she hopes to continue promoting her book as well as dusting off her DSLR and getting back into portrait photography. Her debut book 'Unapologetically' took almost 2 years to complete and although to many it may seem on the smaller side it was to ensure that no detail was missed and every feeling was uncovered. 'A bedside table/handbag book', is how Imani chooses to describe it. Something that you can flick through to find something promising, a text to keep you company. A little something to revisit.
