Fran started writing poetry in the mid seventies following the untimely death of her beloved father Harry Schleider. Her efforts were included in the 1977 published poetry collection RYE BREAD, Women Poets Rising. At age 44 Fran put aside creative writing and turned her talents and interests to music, family and business. In preparing for a recent move to Vero Beach, Florida, Fran discovered her poetry workbook buried among boxes of yellowed sheet music. Most of this treasure trove of verses had never been shared with friends or family or... anyone. Until now.
