About the Author: L L Gaddy is a naturalist, biogeographer, and sinophile from South Carolina. Dr. Gaddy has written books on the Blue Ridge front of the Carolinas and Georgia, Biodiversity, and Spiders of the Carolinas. He originally went to China in search of rare plants along the eastern Himalayan front. He does consulting, research, and exploration through his non-profit American company, terra incognita.
