Growing Up with Autism is a challenge. It is so easy to want to be like the other kids and try to fit in. I spent years as a child and in particularly a teenager wanting to be like everyone else. I did not want to be who I was because I wanted to fit in. I wanted to have friends and I wanted to be "normal." This book is my story about how I went from wanting to be "normal" to thinking "normal" was boring. This is a story about how I found myself through a lot of hard work and faith in God. Autism may be a small part of my life but it does not define me. As a teenager I wanted Autism to go away and even as a young adult I wanted a cure for Autism. I have now began the long process of self-acceptance and loving myself for who I am. This is a journey I share with you in this book. This book also comes with an Introductory Guide for newly diagnosed people with Autism and parents of children with Autism.
