About the Author: Hey, I am honored that you are going deeper into Creating Hope While Living With An Alcoholic, so let me share a little with you about who I am. I have been married to my beautiful, fantastic, and lovely bride Jackie for almost 20 years. We met while attending Florida Southern College. She used the favorite pick-up line, "Do I know you from somewhere?" And in the words of the actress Renee Zellweger I told Jackie she had me at "Do." We are the proud parents of Matthew and Melody. While life has been one great adventure after another with Jackie and the family, I did not always experience family life as powerfully as I do now. I grew-up in a Navy family where both parents struggled with alcohol and other marital destructive behaviors. It is from those childhood experiences that my passion for changing my own family tree while equipping thousands of others to do the same has been birthed. I have been working with couples and families for over twenty years now as a Pastor and as a Navy Chaplain. I truly believe that a strong and healthy family produces a strong and healthy world. I will admit that my love for working with couples and marriage is a little selfish - I want my family to be surrounded by strong and healthy families, so I would be really honored and blessed if I had the opportunity to come alongside you and your family while you are reading this book.
