Computer Programming is designed as textbook to meet the requirements of the latest syllabus of the first year computer programming course offered by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada.
The book first acquaints the readers with evolution, hardware, and software components of a computer system, programming languages, and development of algorithms. It discusses the fundamentals of C programming and then delves into an in-depth analysis of various constructs of C such as control statements, functions, arrays, strings, pointers, structures, unions, and file management. The book provides several case studies linked to the concepts explained in the text. It also includes appendices on ASCII chart of characters, ANSI library functions, preprocessor directives and inline functions, bit-level programming, and bitwise shift operators for ready reference.
