The Workshop Mathematics approach to instruction focuses on interactive teaching, or learning-by-doing. In Workshop Calculus the primary goal is to encourage students to think like mathematicians. By making observations and connections, exploring data, asking questions, and writing up their results, students work collaboratively to develop a full understanding of calculus. Intended for students who have taken precalculus but are not quite ready for the regular calculus sequence, Workshop Calculus reviews precalculus while teaching Calculus I simultaneously.
