Taiga is a type of biome that occurs in northern Canada. While its habitat is unique, the forest is often threatened by human activity. Taiga forests can be difficult to restore because of their short growing season and extreme temperature variations. The taiga biome is also home to millions of insects. Many birds migrate to the taiga to feed on these insects.
